This Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) I met in the large dune area managed by the Amsterdam Water Company: the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen (South Holland prov.)

Going by its looks, I had the impression this is an older specimen. Scars from fights are well visible in the part behind its nose. This was one of those foxes that exhibited rather trusting behavior towards humans. The reason for that may be, some visitors of the area will feed these animals.

I must say it's hard to resist the temptation to feed them, although there are signs in the area explaining it is absolutely forbidden.

I didn't feed it but almost felt guilty for doing so.
