Common Kingfisher
A male (Common) Kingfisher (IJsvogel; Eisvogel; Martin pcheur d'Europe; Alcedo atthis)
Male (Common) Kingfishers, a.o. present in Europe, will have a totally dark (black) bill. With females the underside of the lower half of the bill is in part orange colored. The whitish tips at the end of its bill may indicate this is a not yet fully adult bird.
The ambient light will cause variations in how we perceive its color, especially the head, back and upper wing plumage. This will cause a perception of that part of its plumage to be more (azure) blue or more (azure) green.
Even when having such bright plumage colors, these birds may be hard to spot once they have landed somewhere, especially between reed or branches with leaves on them. In part that may have to do with their size; they are small birds:
